Player of the Week
Elijah Buchanan, Manhattan

Elijah Buchanan averaged 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.5 blocks in helping Manhattan earn a split at Iona. Buchanan shot 44.8 percent (13-of-29), including 50.0 percent (4-of-8) from long range, and 91.7 percent (11-of-12) from the line. He began the weekend with a team-high 15 points with five rebounds, three assists, four steals and a career-high three blocks in the opener. Following that up, Buchanan registered career-bests in points (26), rebounds (13) and assists (7) while adding two steals in leading the Jaspers to a 77-70 victory. He scored nine of the final 13 Jasper points to cement the win, highlighted by a back-breaking triple with just over a minute to play. On the year, he is averaging 12.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocks.
 
Rookie of the Week
Nelly Junior Joseph, Iona
Fr., Benin City, Nigeria/NBA Academy Africa (Senegal)
Nelly Junior Joseph picked up right where he left off following Iona’s 51 day layoff. He averaged 13.0 points per game against the Manhattan Jaspers. Junior Joseph shot 66.7 percent from the floor and 71.4 percent from the free throw line. Junior Joseph also pulled down 6.5 rebounds per game. On Friday night he blocked four Manhattan shots.
