Fairfield’s Noviello and Canisus’ Brogan Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week
EDISON, N.J. (Feb. 17, 2021) – Fairfield University’s Jake Noviello and Canisius College’s Bridget Brogan have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

A right-handed pitcher, Jake Noviello went 1-1 in his last active season on the mound in the spring of 2019. He rang up 18 strikeouts in 30.2 innings of work as Fairfield’s midweek starter. Noviello is a member of the Fairfield Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Executive Board that has headed recent projects including the “One Team, One Family” initiative and the voter registration drive that saw 100% of eligible student-athletes register to vote prior to the November election.
Noviello is a Dean’s List student and a MAAC All-Academic Team honoree as a Finance major in Fairfield’s Charles F. Dolan School of Business.
Bridget Brogan

Bridget Brogan was a member of the first varsity eight that had second-place finishes a year ago for the Griffs at the Mercyhurst Invitational and the Yinzer Cup. She was also a member of the varsity eight squad, which had a first-place finish during her junior campaign at the Head of the Niagara event.
A product of Syracuse, N.Y., Brogan has been named to the MAAC All-Academic Team during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 school years, as well as being named a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete in 2019. She is studying journalism at Canisius.
