Player of the Week
Malek Green, Canisius
Jr., Cincinnati, OH/Taft
Canisius junior Malek Green averaged 21.5 points and 7.5 rebounds last week as the Golden Griffins went on the road and posted a MAAC series split at Fairfield. In the Griffs' 80-69 victory on Friday, Green scored a career-high 29 points to go along with nine rebounds. He ended that game by going 10-for-15 from the field, with four 3-pointers, which also set a career best for the Cincinnati, Ohio, native. In Canisius' loss on Saturday, Green came off the bench and scored a team-high 14 points to go with six boards. For the week, he shot 65.2 percent from the floor, 50 percent from behind the arc and 75 percent from the free-throw line.
 
Rookie of the Week
Luis Kortright, Quinnipiac
Fr., Manhattan, NY/St. Raymond
Kortright led Quinnipiac in scoring over three wins this past week, pouring in 50 points (16.7 PPG). He also added 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per contest in a 3-0 week. The Bobcats' first-year guard scored 18 points on Saturday, then 25 points on Sunday in a weekend sweep of Rider. He shot 8-of-13 from 3-point distance, playing almost 80 minutes.
