Offensive Player of the Week
Makenzie Rodrigues, Rider
So., Seattle, WA/Forest Ridge
Rodrigues scored the Broncs' first two goals of the season in a 4-1 win at Fairfield on Tuesday. The first was a strong individual effort to fire a strike from the top, left corner of the 18-yard box into the far upper 90 to put Rider on top 1-0. After Fairfield leveled the score with a PK, Rodrigues collected a deflected ball into the box and beat the goalkeeper 1v1 from close range. After scoring four goals last season, Rodrigues has already halved her total in one game.
