Hielke Moore, Quinnipiac
Sr., Fredericton, New Brunswick/Fredericton High School
Hielke Moore won at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles during the Bobcats' MAAC opener at Niagara last weekend.
The QU senior defeated Manuel Alonso 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (3), then also teamed up with Patrick Cachapero to earn a 6-3 win over Alonso/Jorge Sedeno in No. 1 doubles.
Women’s Player of the Week
Dominique Vasile, Quinnipiac
Sr., Bingham Farms, Mich/ Bloomfield Hills High School
Dominique Vasile earned a pair of wins for the Bobcats this past weekend in QU's MAAC opener at Niagara. Vasile topped Erika Gonzalez 6-1, 6-1 in No. 3 singles, then paired with Stephanie Yanosov to earn a quick 6-1 victory in No. 3 doubles.
Vasile has two single wins, and two doubles wins already this season.
