Manhattan’s Miceus and Marist’s Ahlgrim Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week
EDISON, N.J. (Mar. 17, 2021) – Manhattan’s Pamela Miceus and Marist’s Sam Ahlgrim have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Women’s Basketball
Miceus scored six points with eight rebounds, two steals, an assist and a steal in Manhattan’s MAAC Quarterfinal game with Marist. On the year, she is averaging 8.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game while shooting 45.9 percent from the floor.
The fifth-year senior was a finalist for valedictorian at graduation last year, and is working towards her master's degree in mechanical engineering.
Miceus and Manhattan will continue their 2020-21 season against Cleveland State on Friday, March 19 at 12:00 pm in the Women’s Basketball Invitational.

Men's Lacrosse
Graduate student Sam Ahlgrim is a key component of the Marist men's lacrosse team's close defense and stands out in the classroom as well.
Ahlgrim is in his third season as a starter. He has played in all 39 of Marist's games since the 2018 season. In the Red Foxes' season opener, a 15-11 triumph over Detroit Mercy, Ahlgrim registered four ground balls - the most of any non face-off specialist on the Red Foxes - and also had a team-high two caused turnovers.
Ahlgrim is a three-time selection to the MAAC All-Academic team and a seven-time selection to Marist's Dean's List. He majored in Communication as an undergraduate and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Integrated Marketing Communication.
