Rider’s Ogemuno-Johnson and Quinnipiac’s Young Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week
EDISON, N.J. (Mar. 3, 2021) – Rider University’s Ajiri Ogemuno-Johnson and Quinnipiac University’s Emily Young have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Men’s Basketball
Ajiri Ogemuno-Johnson has been a three-year contributor for the Broncs, ascending to the starting line-up this season. He’s averaging 8.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, while shooting a team-best 61.1 percent from the floor, good for third in the MAAC. He posted his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds on Jan. 9 at Niagara.
A product of Delta State, Nigeria, Ogemuno-Johnson currently studies psychology at Rider. He has also achieved in the classroom, earning a 3.22 GPA, being named to the 2019-20 MAAC All-Academic Team, and is on schedule to graduate early.
Emily Young

Women’s Cross Country
Emily Young led the Bobcats to a first-place team finish (34 Pts) at the Jasper Invitational 5K on Saturday, Feb. 20. She came in third place individually with a time of 18:48.4 in her first meet since November 2019.
Young, a native of Camillus, NY, is a two-time member of the MAAC All-Academic Team, being selected in 2019 and 2020.
