Thuer continued the hot start to her career, batting .571 (eight-for-14) in Monmouth's 4-0 weekend over Quinnipiac. Thuer compiled six RBIs, five runs, and four walks in the sweep. She registered at least one RBI in all four games on the weekend. Thuer's on base percentage was .667 and her slugging percentage was .643.
Pitcher of the Week
Alyssa Irons, Monmouth
Sr., Rock Creek, OH/Jefferson Area
Irons went 2-0 over the weekend with a 1.80 ERA. She also picked up a save on Sunday in Monmouth's 4-0 weekend over Quinnipiac. Irons tossed 11.2 total innings, allowing just six hits and three earned runs. The senior struck out 15 batters, including nine in her win on Saturday. Irons improved her record to a perfect 5-0 on the season.
