Niagara Sweeps Season’s Final Molten Volleyball Weekly Awards

Amanda Darling, Niagara

Darling had a phenomenal week for the Purple Eagles as they went 2-1, averaging 7.17 digs per set. At Siena on March 24, she had 23 digs and added eight assists and one ace. In match one against Canisius on Sunday, she recorded a then-career-best 26 digs and added five assists. In match two against the Griffs, she set a new career-high in digs with 37 and also added nine assists.
 
Player of the Week
Jaycie Roberts, Niagara
Sr. Carson City, NV/ Carson City High School

Roberts had a great week for NU as the Purple Eagles went 2-1. She recorded double-doubles in all three matches. Against Siena on March 24, she had 16 kills and 12 digs. In match one against Canisius on Sunday, she had 14 kills and 17 digs. In match two, she had 21 kills and a career-high 27 digs. In the three matches combined, she also added three aces and six total blocks. On the week, she averaged 4.25 kills per set and 4.67 digs per set.
