Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Mark Orlando, Monmouth
Gr., Morganville, NJ/Marlboro
Registered a personal best javelin throw of 65.92 meters and is ranked #1 in the MAAC. Also Ranked #22 in the NCAA East Region.
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Alexis Uzoaru, Monmouth
Jr., Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood
Placed 2nd in the Discus with a throw of 42.82 meters (First in the MAAC). Placed 2nd in the hammer throw with a mark of 49.55 meters (second in the MAAC). Placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 12.92 meters (ranked seventh in the MAAC). All performances were personal bests
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Artie Burgess, Rider
Fr. Coatesville, PA/Coatesville
The freshman won the 100 in 10.86 and the 200 in 21.61 at the Penn Challenge in his first ever collegiate meet. Both were lifetime best marks and the 200 is a Rider Top Ten mark. He is currently number 1 in the MAAC in both events.
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Brianna Rubio, Monmouth
Fr., Clifton, NJ/Clifton
Placed first in the 100 meter with a time of 12.47 (Ranked first in MAAC). Placed first in the 200 meter with a time of 25.24 (Ranked first in the MAAC). Anchored for the winning 4x400 meter relay team.
