Fairfield and Iona Earn Ready Nutrition Women’s Rowing Weekly Awards

The Fairfield varsity 8 won its event at the Sacred Heart Invitational with a time of 6:44.59, edging Sacred Heart and Iona. The Stags took the lead at the midway point and with a steady performance stayed ahead for the remainder of the run. The Stags entry included Natalia Bertolotti, Flo Caces, Ana Szymanski, Grace Fallon, Audrey Sedensky, Isabella King, Kathryn Bergstrom, Ana McDonough, and coxswain Faith Kenny
The second varsity 8 edged Sacred Heart by a second as the Stags posted a time of 6:59.34. The race featured several lead changes and neither of the top two had more than a second lead throughout the event with Fairfield holding on at the finish line. The boat included Brenna McDonnell, Abigail Morrill, Rebecca Patti, Alexis Mason, Christina Caruso, Chloe Lennon, Meghan Megill, Madi McSherry, and coxswain Erin Dobbs.
Iona College
Varsity 4 Boat
Iona competed at the Sacred Heart Invitational on Saturday on the Housatonic River in Shelton, CT. The women's varsity 4 boat won for the second straight week crossing the finish line in 8:07.25. The boat consisted of Julianna LoRusso, Jasmin Schons, Erienne Peters, Erin O'Brien and was led by coxswain Jasmin Ceja-Vera.
