Bobcats Receive National Top 25 Votes in Latest United Soccer Coaches Poll

HAMDEN, Conn. – Following a pair of MAAC Tournament wins over the last week, Quinnipiac men's soccer (7-1, 5-1 MAAC) continues to receive national recognition for its spring 2021 success.
 
The Bobcats have received votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll – which recognizes the top Division I programs in the nation. The program received three total votes in the poll, finishing just outside the Top 25 nationally.

Quinnipiac has also been ranked No. 5 overall in the latest United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll, finishing behind only Georgetown, Seton Hall, Marquette and UCF. 
 
MSOC - Team Huddle - Spring 2021

The Bobcats finished the 2021 spring season with a 5-1-1 league record, earning the No. 1 seed in the postseason league tournament. Under Head Coach Eric Da Costa, Quinnipiac has now won five conference regular season titles in the last nine seasons. Quinnipiac has won four MAAC regular season championships since joining the conference in 2013, going 49-17-11 in MAAC regular season games. 
 
Quinnipiac then defeated No. 8 Siena (1-0) on April 11 in the MAAC Quarterfinals, and most recently downed No. 5 Fairfield (2-1) on April 14 in the MAAC Semifinals. 
 
The Bobcats are now headed to the MAAC Tournament title match for the fourth time in eight seasons. 
 
Top-seeded Quinnipiac will now host the conference championship contest in Hamden on Saturday, April 17 at the QU Soccer Stadium. No. 1 Quinnipiac will host No. 6 Monmouth at 3:00 PM on ESPN+.
