Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Artie Burgess, Rider
Fr., Coatesville, PA/Coatesville
 
Burgess won the 100 (10.88), 200 (21.49) and was on the winning 4x100 relay (41.45) in a dual with Monmouth. He was also on the 2nd place 4x400 relay. He has the top time in the MAAC in the 200 meters by over 0.60 seconds. The 4x100 relay also has the top time in the MAAC and he is #2 in the 100 meters.
 
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Gemma Nuttall, Iona
Gr., Katonah, NY/John Jay
 
Gemma Nuttall raced in the 1,500-meter event at the Ocean State Invitational hosted by Providence College on Friday night. Nuttall finished the 1,500-meter event in 4:23.68, the fastest time in the MAAC this season. The Maroon & Gold own three of the top for times in the event in the conference.
 
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Jabari Higgs-Salaam, Saint Peter’s
So., Lawnside, NJ/Haddon Heights
 
Higgs-Salaam continues to dominate the long jump event. On Day 1 of the Peacock Invitational, he won the event and set a PR for himself by jumping for 7.20 meters, which puts him in a tie for the best distance in the MAAC thus far. At the Metropolitan Championships, he won the long jump yet again with a distance of 6.88 meters.
 
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Alexandra Preckajlo, Manhattan
Sr., Ocean, NJ/St. Rose
 
Had an outstanding week over a pair of meets. Began the solid week with a win in the shot put (13.36 meters) at the Peacock Outdoor Invitational #1. She followed that up by winning the discus title with a toss of 48.57 meters at the Metropolitan Outdoor Championships. Then added a second-place performance in the shot put (14.22 meters), while finishing fifth in the hammer throw (40.18 meters).
