Pitcher of the Week
Michael Sansone, Fairfield
Jr., Cheshire, CT/Notre-Dame West Haven
Sansone recorded a complete game win and his first career save in Fairfield's 6-0 week. Sansone totaled 13 strikeouts, powered by a career-high 10 punch outs in the complete game win over Monmouth. He entered in the final inning against Quinnipiac and struck out the side to record the save. In his start against Monmouth, Sansone allowed just a double and an infield single until the final inning where Monmouth scored twice.
Player of the Week
Nick Cimillo, Manhattan
Jr., Airmont, NY/Suffern
Led Manhattan to a series-victory over Siena thanks to hitting .500 (7-of-14) with a triple, two home runs, four RBI, six runs, three walks and a stolen base. Singled and scored a run in the series opener against the Saints, before going 3-for-5 with a triple, home run and two RBI. In Sunday's opener, homered, drove in two and scored three times. Capped his big week by going 2-for-3 with a walk, stolen base and run in the finale. On the year, is batting .286 with two doubles, a triple, two home runs and seven RBI.
Rookie of the Week
Kobe Stenson, Siena
Fr., North Syracuse, NY/Liverpool
Stenson hit .333 with a homer, six RBI, and a pair of steals in last weekend's four-game series vs. Manhattan. He scored four runs and added three walks in achieving a .467 on-base percentage and a .583 slugging percentage. In the series-opening win, Stenson capped a decisive eight-run inning with his first collegiate grand slam. Stenson reached base safely in all four games.
