Quinnipiac Claims 2020-21 MAAC Women’s Tennis Regular Season Title

EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac University (8-4, 6-0 MAAC) clinched the top seed for the 2020-21 Women’s Tennis Championship. Their final match was a win over Marist University (1-1, 1-1 MAAC) by a score of 5-2, to complete another perfect season in conference play. The Bobcats will be the No. 1 seed for the seventh-straight MAAC Championship Tournament. Quinnipiac has now won 49 consecutive regular season conference matches.
 
The Bobcats picked up singles victories from Kamilla Nella in the No. 2 spot, Madison Williams in the No. 4 spot, Payton Bradley in the No. 5 spot, and Stephanie Yanosov in the No. 6 spot.
 
On the doubles side, victories were earned from by all three of Quinnipiac’s pairings. Claire Koscielski and Nella in the No. 1 spot, Bradley and Williams in the No. 2 spot and Dominique Vasile and Yanosov in the No. 6 spot.
 
The Bobcats will be looking for revenge after dropping their Championship Match in 2019, 3-4 to Fairfield. Quinnipiac has made the Championship Match every year since joining the conference and have captured five titles since 2013.
 
The 2020-21 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Championship will be held at Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, New Jersey.
