Monmouth’s Castro and Marist’s Muzik Named Hercules Tire MAAC Tennis Weekly Award Winners
Men’s Player of the Week
Victor Castro, Monmouth

Castro went 2-0 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles play this week. He won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 singles and won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles against Siena. Helping clinch the MAAC Regular Season Championship on Sunday, he won 6-1, 7-5 at No. 3 singles and 7-5 at No. 2 doubles at Fairfield.
Women’s Player of the Week
Kat Muzik, Marist
Gr. Mableton, GA/Johnson Ferry Christian Academy
In her Marist debut and the Red Foxes' first action this year, Muzik went undefeated in first singles play and totaled three No. 1 wins in Marist's two matches this season. On Friday, April 16th at Niagara, the Rutgers transfer paired up with Julia Gabay to sweep No. 1 doubles against Elena Mayet and Megan Gamble. Muzik also defeated Olga Donchu 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 in first singles. On Sunday against Quinnipiac, Muzik triumphed over Claire Koscielski in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3.
