Pitcher of the Week
Alyssa Irons, Monmouth
Sr., Rock Creek, OH/Jefferson Area
Irons had another dominant week, registering a 4-1 record with a 1.67 ERA. She tossed a complete game shutout to start the week at Rider, allowing just three hits. She would rack up three more complete games during the stretch. Irons totaled 22 strikeouts and walked just two batters in five appearances. In 29.1 innings, she allowed just 17 hits.
Player of the Week
Lindsey Baron, Monmouth
Jr., Matawan, NJ/St. John Vianney
In Monmouth's 7-1 week, Baron batted .464 with three home runs, eight RBI, and 14 runs. The Co-Preseason Player of the Year also doubled twice and walked three times. Baron registered an on base percentage of .531 and a slugging percentage of .857. She had at least one RBI in five different games.
Rookie of the Week
Julia Thuer, Monmouth
Fr., Middletown, DE/Smyrna
Freshman Jamie Sheeran started five games for Iona this week, driving in 10 runs in the Gaels' five wins. Sheeran registered a hit in all five contests, including a pair of homers and three doubles. The rookie slashed .300/.300/.750 across her 20 plate appearances.
