Edison, N.J. (April 6, 2021) - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) would like to take this opportunity to thank all of its student-athletes for their hard work throughout the year, both in athletics and academics. National Student-Athlete Day is an opportunity for both high school and college student-athletes to be recognized for their outstanding achievements on and off the field, as well as in their communities.

National Student-Athlete Day began in 1987 by a group now known as The Institute for Sport & Social Justice (ISSJ) and is co-sponsored by the NCAA. Each year the NCAA and student-athletes across the country use the day to promote community initiatives and to give back. In the past the NCAA has put together initiatives that include donating to breast cancer awareness and providing goods for underdeveloped countries as a way to promote more student-athletes to leave an impact on their communities.
