The top-seeded Quinnipiac Bobcats (5-1) completed the abbreviated season clinching their first MAAC Men’s Soccer Regular Season Title since 2016. The Bobcats were voted second overall in the 2020-21 MAAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll. This will be Quinnipiac’s eighth-straight MAAC postseason appearance. Quinnipiac will face off against the No. 8 seed Siena on Sunday, April 11, in the quarterfinals as they seek their second MAAC Championship and first since 2013.

Quarterfinal #1 has No. 2 Rider (2-0-1) taking on No. 7 Iona (2-3-1) at Ben Cohen Field. The two faced off once this season on March 18, as Rider took the matchup 1-0. Rider has taken seven of the last eight matchups versus Iona dating back to 2015. Iona’s lone victory vs. the Brocs in the postseason came in the 2019 MAAC Championship first round as Iona beat Rider, 2-1, on their way to winning the 2019 MAAC Championship.

Quarterfinal #2 will feature No. 3 Niagara (5-2) taking on No. 6 Monmouth (2-2-1) at Niagara Field. Niagara and Monmouth faced off against each other this season in the final game of the regular season, in which Monmouth was able to win 4-3 in overtime after overcoming a 3-1 deficit. Niagara and Monmouth both return to postseason play after missing the 2019 tournament.

No. 1 Quinnipiac will welcome No. 8 Siena (2-4-1) to Hamden, CT for Quarterfinal #3. The two teams met back on March 25 as the Bobcats took the match, 4-1. Siena will be looking for its first win versus Quinnipiac since October 28, 2015.

The fourth and final Quarterfinal has No. 4 Saint Peter’s (3-2-1) playing No. 5 Fairfield (3-2-1) in Jersey City, NJ. Saint Peter’s own the tiebreaker over Fairfield this season after the Peacocks defeated the Stags, 4-3, on March 26. The 2020-21 MAAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll favorite, the Peacocks will be looking for their third straight win over Fairfield.

The 2020-21 MAAC Men’s Soccer Championship begins on Sunday, April 11, with the quarterfinal round. Semifinal round action will take place on Wednesday, April 14. The 2020-21 MAAC Men’s Soccer Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 17.
