Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Ehab El-Sandali, Iona
Gr., Toronto, Ontario/West View
Ehab El-Sandali was one of six Gaels to run in the 5K at the prestigious Stanford Invitational. El-Sandali finished second at the event in 13:44.74. His time ranks fourth in the Northeast Region this season and is the fourth-fastest time in the outdoor event ever in program history. The Gaels have the top eight times in the event in the MAAC, while El-Sandali beat the next fastest time of a non-Gael by 55 seconds.
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Gemma Nuttall, Iona
Gr., Katonah, NY/John Jay
Gemma Nuttall ran at the Stanford Invitational in the 1,500-meter event finished 10th with a MAAC-Best time of 4:27.33. Her time is the fastest in the MAAC this season and ranks 33rd in the Northeast Region. Her time is seven seconds faster than the next non-Iona runner.
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Zach Manorowitz, Rider
Fr. Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville
Manorowitz won the long jump at the Rider 5 Way in 7.09m for the second week in a row. He is currently #2 in the MAAC.
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Lindsay Bauer, Rider
Gr., Allentown, PA/Salisbury
Bauer won the long jump at the Rider 5 Way in 5.52m. She is currently is #1 in the MAAC, and also finished 3rd in the HJ in 1.50m.
