Manhattan College (22-15, 17-13 MAAC) fell to No. 6 Arkansas by a score of 8-0 in Game 1 of the Fayetteville Regional Friday afternoon. The Jaspers were only able to record two hits against the Razorbacks. With the loss Manhattan will face Stanford tomorrow, Saturday, May 22 at 4:30 p.m. in the first elimination game of the regional.
 
Manhattan Notes
  • Lauren Rende collected the Jaspers first hit, and the first hit of the game, as she had a lead off single to start the game.
  • Emma Kindblom recorded Manhattan’s second hit when she singled to right field in the top of the third inning.
  • Three pitchers appeared for the Jaspers, MAAC Championship Most Outstanding Player Nicole Williams started the game and went 4.1 innings, scattering seven hits, walking one, and giving up five runs. Marika Demmer and Kali Puppolo also appeared in relief.
