Manhattan College (22-16, 17-13 MAAC) season came to end in Fayetteville as they fell to Stanford University (32-21, 9-12 PAC-12) by a score of 11-2. With their second loss, Manhattan was eliminated from the Fayetteville Regional. The Jaspers earned their second-ever appearance in the NCAA Division I Softball Championship after winning the MAAC Softball Championship last Saturday, May 15.  
 
Manhattan Notes
  • Lauren Rende led the Jaspers offense again as she went two-for-three on the day and tallied a run.
  • Annie Moore, Marika Deemer, and Christine Gebhardt all recorded a hit for the Jaspers.
  • Daniela Chiorazzi and Deemer each had an RBI for Manhattan.
  • MAAC Championship Most Outstanding Player Nicole Williams got her second start in the NCAA Division I Championship going 5.0 innings, giving up five runs (three earned), scattering eight hits, walking one and striking out two.
  • Marika Deemer appeared in relief and pitched the final two innings, scattering seven hits, giving up six runs (three earned), and striking out one.
  • Manhattan has made two appearances in the NCAA Division I Softball tournament and fall to 0-4 all-time.
