Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Wynn Johnson, Iona
Jr., Roebuck, SC/Dorman
 
Wynn Johnson raced at the Virginia Grand Prix on May and competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Johnson finished with a time of 9:17.91 in his first ever attempt at the race; his time ranks first in the MAAC by 15 seconds and ranked the best in the Northeast compared to every other MAAC performer.
 
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Gemma Nuttal, Iona
Gr., Katonah, NY/John Jay
 
Gemma Nuttall raced at the Virginia Grand Prix over the weekend and competed in the 1,500-meter race. She finished the race in a career-best time of 4:19.74, placing third overall while beating her previous best time by over three seconds. Her time of 4:19.75 ranks first in the MAAC by five seconds over fellow Iona runner Kaitlyn Ohrtman. Her time also ranks 41st in the Northeast Region.
 
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Romaine Rhoden, Monmouth
Jr., Plymouth Meeting, PA/Lower Merion
 
Rhoden placed first in the long jump with a mark of 7.27 meters. This is ranked #1 in the MAAC and 6th all-time at Monmouth.
 
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Mikah Maples, Quinnipiac
Gr., Moweaqua, IL/Central A&M
 
Graduate student Mikah Maples had a solid day with 3 first place finishes in the field at Southern Connecticut State. She took first place in the discus throw with a 39.48m mark. Maples also took first place in the javelin throw with a 42.90m mark, and she finished in first place in the shot put (12.58m).
