MAAC Hires Taylor Wood as Director of Championships and Compliance

EDISON, NJ (June 24, 2021) – Today the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced the hiring of Taylor Wood as a Director of Championships and Compliance.
 
In her position, Wood will be responsible for overseeing her assigned sports, including the planning and coordination of conference championships. She will also serve as the conference’s NCAA compliance coordinator and monitor member institutions’ compliance with MAAC and NCAA bylaws.
 
“We are very delighted to have Taylor join the MAAC family,” said MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor. “Her experience and education will allow her to make an immediate positive impact on the conference. We cannot wait for her to join us in August.”
 
Wood will join the conference in August after completing her summer internship with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). While with the WBCA, she is working on the ‘Our Fair Shot’ campaign to bring awareness to the inequities of college athletics. Additionally, Wood spent time interning with the University of Louisiana Monroe football program in the summer of 2019. She has also coached volleyball for the last five years, Wood played Volleyball as a student-athlete at Phoenix College and the University of Louisiana Monroe.
 
A native of Arizona, Wood graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Louisiana Monroe. She then continued her education at Arizona State University obtaining her master’s degree in Sports Law and Business.
