HAMDEN, Conn. - First-year Rebecca Cooke of the Quinnipiac Women's Soccer Team was named the New England Soccer Journal's Rookie of the Year. Cooke was also named the 2020-21 MAAC Rookie of the Year at the conclusion of the regular season back in April.

Cooke finished her first-year campaign with four goals and two assists for a team-leading 10 points. The Dublin native's four goals were ranked third in the MAAC and are the most by a first-year Bobcat since rising senior Selena Salas had four goals in 2018.

Cooke scored a double-overtime game-winner in break-away fashion against the Stags to send Quinnipiac to the MAAC Semifinal game. Cooke was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week twice this season. She is the seventh Bobcat in program history to be named the MAAC Rookie of the Year; sophomore Meaghan Phillips earned the 2019 award.
