Wellington ran a 25:18.17 in the 8k and cruised to a near five-second win over the second-place finisher in the 2021 Brother John "Paddy" Doyle Meet of Champions last Friday at Van Cortlandt Park.
 
Women’s Runner of the Week:

Sammi Ragenklint
Jr., Tinton Falls, NJ, Monmouth Regional

 
For the second time in as many races, Sammi Ragenklint won an individual cross country title. Ragenklint outraced the women's 5K field at the Iona Meet of Champions with her time of 18:06.0, more than 15 seconds faster than the second-place finisher from John's Hopkins. Ragenklint's performance was also a Monmouth record on the historic Van Cortlandt Park course. She beat her previous personal best time by 15 seconds, set in 2019 in the ECAC meet.
