Rider’s Romano, Marist’s Owens and Siena’s Sawinska Earn Molten MAAC Volleyball Weekly Awards

Player of the Week
Morgan Romano, Rider

Romano averaged 6.50 kills per set while hitting .405 across a 2-0 week for the Broncs. Romano tied her own three-set program record with 21 kills against Saint Peter's.
 
Libero of the Week
Morgan Owens, Marist
Sr., Ashburn, VA, Broad Run High School
 
Owens averaged 4.57 digs per set as the Red Foxes picked up their first two MAAC wins of the year. The senior registered 18 digs and a perfect receiving percentage against Manhattan on September 25th. The following day against Iona, she totaled 14 digs while also notching two kills and four assists. This season, Owens has recorded 252 digs, good for 30th in the nation. She has also averaged 4.34 digs per set as well.
 
Rookie of the Week
Olga Sawinska, Siena
Fr., Warsaw, Poland, XVIII LO im. Jana Zamoyskiego
 
Sawinska had a breakout weekend, averaging 2.18 kills per set in a 2-1 Siena week. She added in seven total blocks and had a 12-kill effort in a win over Iona.
