Monmouth’s Gomez and Murray, and Siena’s Arachchige-Jensen Earn Wilson Men’s Soccer Weekly Awards

Offensive Player of the Week
Julian Gomez, Monmouth

In Monmouth's 3-0 win over St. Francis Brooklyn, Gomez scored a goal and notched two assists. The Terriers advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season, eventually falling in penalty kicks to national finalist Indiana. Gomez has now scored a goal in eight straight games played dating back to last spring.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Sean Murray, Monmouth

Murray notched a shutout in the 3-0 win over St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday. The redshirt senior totaled four saves in the win against the Terriers, who advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last spring.
 
Rookie of the Player of the Week
Jacob Arachchige-Jensen, Siena
Fr., Svendborg, Denmark, Svendborg Gymnasium
 
The team's primary set-piece taker logged a pair of assists in the Saints' 2-0 win at Bryant last Saturday, with the first coming off a corner kick and the second starting what was a tic-tac-toe finish to propel the Saints to their second victory of the season.
