Riverdale, NY - Manhattan head coach Steve Masiello has announced the men's basketball non-conference schedule for the 2021-22 season.
 
The Jaspers open the non-conference slate with a home game against Manhattanville on Tuesday, November 9, before welcoming longtime rival Fordham to Riverdale in the annual 'Battle of the Bronx' on Friday, November 12.

Manhattan will hit the road for the first time at Old Dominion on Monday, November 15, before participating in the MAAC/ASUN Challenge at Disney on Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20. The Jaspers opponent for day one is unknown, before squaring off with reigning ASUN Champion Liberty on Saturday, November 20.

The Jaspers will then return to Draddy to host FDU on Tuesday, November 30 at 7:00 pm.

Following the opening of MAAC play, Manhattan will play at Utah on Saturday, December 11, before concluding non-conference play at the Citadel Holiday Classic. The Jaspers will square off with Charleston Southern on Monday, December 20, before facing Citadel on Tuesday, December 21.

What You Need To Know:
* One of the best rivalries in college basketball will be contested for the 113th time.
* Last season marked the first time since 1944-45, which was cancelled due to World War II, that the teams didn't meet.
* It also marked the first time that Manhattan and Fordham didn't play a game in a season in which both schools fielded teams in almost 100 years (1921-22).
* Senior Elijah Buchanan was the MVP of the 2019 'Battle of the Bronx,' which the Jaspers won in a overtime thriller.
