Jose Perez scored a season-high 27 points at Iona on Friday and then established a new season-high with 33 points against Canisius on Sunday. His 33 points are the second-most by a player in the MAAC this season. Perez shot a season-best 63-percent from the floor against the Golden Griffins and hit a combined 19-of-22 at the free throws on the week. He also led the team in assists during the week.
Rookie of the Week
Jao Ituka, Marist
Fr., Gaithersburg, MD, Gaithersburg
The freshman guard averaged 24 points and six rebounds in the Red Foxes two-game week against Siena and Monmouth. Against Siena, Ituka scored 20 points, had five rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal. Against Monmouth, Ituka led with 28 points along with seven rebounds and an assist. For the Week, Ituka shot .538 (14-26) from the field, .800 (4-5) from three, and .800 (16-20) from the foul line.
