Quinnipiac Takes Down Saint Peter’s for Second Time in Four Days

EDISON, NJ (January 18, 2022) – Mackenzie DeWees scored a Quinnipiac-high 21 points and Amani Free recorded a double-double in Quinnipiac’s 75-53 win over Saint Peter’s on Monday afternoon.

The Quinnipiac women's basketball team saw four players reach double figures in scoring, led by Mackenzie DeWees' 21 points, as the Bobcats downed MAAC foe Saint Peter's on the road, 75-53, Monday afternoon inside of Run Baby Run Arena. Amani Free added 19 points and career-highs of 16 rebounds, five assists and four steals, while Jackie Grisdale scored a career-high 14 points off the bench. Rose Caverly contributed 12 points in the victory. Saint Peter’s had three players reach double figures including 16 points from Kendrea Williams and 10 points apiece from Kaila Dawkins and Kassondra Brown. Victoria Ikenasio grabbed a Peacocks-high nine rebounds.
 
The 2021-22 campaign culminates with the 2022 Hercules Tires MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships from March 8-12 at Atlantic City's Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
