Monmouth outlasted host Fairfield, 61-58 on Thursday night at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT. The Hawks snapped its four-game skid and improved its nation-leading road wins total to eight on the season. George Papas led the Monmouth offense with 16-points, followed by Walker Miller’s 11 and Shavar Reynold’s 10 points. Three Stags surpassed double figures in the game, led by 15 points from Jake Wojcik, 14 points by Jesus Cruz, and 13 points from Taj Benning. Benning also became the 45th member of the Fairfield 1,000 points club during the contest.
