EDISON, NJ (Jan. 28, 2022) – 16 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) programs were honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), receiving 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Cross Country All-Academic Team honors.
Making up the 16 honored programs were eight member institutions with both their men’s and women’s cross country teams each earning the distinction. The schools include Canisius College, Iona College, Manhattan College, Marist College, Monmouth University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, and Siena College.
In total, 150 men’s programs and 168 women’s programs were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams for their efforts during the 2021 season. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
