Marist picked up a 60-51 road victory over Fairfield on Friday evening at Webster Bank Arena in MAAC men's basketball action with both sides shorthanded due to COVID protocols. The Red Foxes, which played the game with seven scholarship players, were led by Ricardo Wright’s 17 points. Three other Marist players scored in double figures which included Branden Bell (14), Samkelo Cele (12), and Jordan Jones (10). The Stags, who were playing for the first time in two weeks and playing without two starters, were paced by Jake Wojcik’s 14 points and Supreme Cook’s 13 points, 14 rebounds double-double.
 
The 2021-22 campaign culminates with the 2022 Hercules Tires MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships from March 8-12 at Atlantic City's Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
