EDISON, NJ (Oct. 26, 2022) – Siena’s Tomas del Olmo and Iona’s Isabella Nicholson have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Men’s Tennis
A five-year member of the Siena men's tennis program and a three-year team captain, del Olmo has spent nearly his entire collegiate career playing from the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots for the Saints. He won his No. 2 singles and No. 3 doubles matches in straight sets during the team's first dual match of the year against Holy Cross on September 18. A star in the classroom, he is currently pursuing a graduate degree after earning his Bachelor's degree in Accounting while holding a 3.94 GPA. A member of the MAAC All-Academic Team and MAAC Academic Honor Roll throughout college, del Olmo has also been an ITA All-Academic Scholar and is a three-time Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar.
Isabella Nicholson
Iona
Women’s Swimming & Diving
Pacing the Iona women with a pair of wins was Isabella Nicholson who touched first in the 100 and 200-Free at 53.27 and 1:55.09, respectively. The senior led the team to a 144-118 win over LIU at the Hynes Center Pool this past Friday. In four meets so far this season she has placed first in every individual event she has competed in.
