Camil Azzam Ruiz, Iona

Camil Azzam Ruiz tallied three goals across Iona's two wins, including his first brace of the season. Azzam Ruiz scored Iona's first two goals in a 3-0 road win over Mount that secured the Gaels a top-two seed in the 2022 MAAC Championship. Earlier in the week, Azzam Ruiz netted a penalty kick goal to put the Stags away.


Defensive Player of the Week/Rookie of the Week
Karl Netzell, Quinnipiac

Netzell earned two more shutouts this week for the first-place Bobcats. The first-year keeper made three stops over a pair of Quinnipiac wins, helping the Bobcats extend their streak of MAAC shutouts to four games.
 
The 2022 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship will take place from November 6 through 13. The six-team, single-elimination championship will be hosted by the higher seed of each match. The opening round will take place on Sunday, November 6, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, November 10, and concluding with the championship match on Sunday, November 13.
