Iona opened its 2022-23 season with an impressive 87-62 win over Wagner. Iona had four players reach double figures in the contest. Thoranna Hodge-Carr led the Gaels with 18 points and six rebounds. Juana Camilion posted 17 points, four assists and two rebounds in the game.  Kate Mager added 15 points and Natalia Otkhmezuri contributed 13 points and three rebounds for Iona.

Siena defeated University of New Hampshire by a 20-point margin in its season opener at home.  Adara Groman led Siena in points, scoring 17 in the contest. Brooke Kane filled the stat sheet with 15 points nine rebounds and two blocks on the night. Avery O’Connor also added in nine points and six rebounds in the game.

Manhattan dropped its road opener to Stony Brook 51-69. For Manhattan, Dee Dee Davis was just shy of recording a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds on the night. Emily LaPointe also reached double figures for Manhattan adding in 11 points with four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Marist lost a close game to Penn 61-65 at home.  Marist had a balanced offensive attack on the night led by three double figure scorers. Kendall Krick led Marist with 18 points and eight rebounds. Zaria Shazer contributed 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists while Kiara Fisher added 12 points, five steals, four assists, and three rebounds.
