Quinnipiac Gets Win in Home Opener in MAAC Women’s Basketball Saturday Action

EDISON, NJ (Nov. 13, 2022) – Three MAAC Women’s Basketball teams saw action on Saturday, highlighted by Quinnipiac taking home an impressive win in their home opener.

Quinnipiac garnered its first win of the season in its home opener against Central Connecticut State on Saturday with a 72-54 outcome. Four Bobcats reached double figures leading a well-balanced offensive attack. Cur’Tiera Haywood led the Bobcats with 20 points and six rebounds. Mikala Morris added in 16 points and four rebounds. Mary Baskerville added in 12 points on 6-6 shooting, and Ella O’Donnell chipped in 10 points in the contest.

Marist fell to Green Bay on the road 45-74. Maeve Donnelly paced Marist with a double-double on the evening, scoring 13 points and recording 10 rebounds. Kiara Fisher chipped in eight points, five rebounds, and two steals.

Niagara dropped its home opener to LaSalle by a score of 64-83. Niagara was led in the contest with Angel Parker’s 23 points and four rebounds. Aaliyah Parker had a double-double in the contest with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
