Quinnipiac Women's Soccer Falls to Penn State in NCAA First Round

UNIVERSITY PARK, P.A.—Quinnipiac women's soccer fell to Penn State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by a score of 4-1, at Jeffrey Field on Sunday, Nov. 13.  
 
Senior Markela Bejleri scored the lone goal for the Bobcats, coming at the 46-minute mark to tie the game up at one in the second half.

First Half
  • (23'—Quinnipiac 0, Penn State 1): Penn State opened the scoring midway through the first half when the Nittany Lions kicked one just right of Bobcats netminder Sofia Lospinoso.
 
Second Half
  • (46'—Quinnipiac 1, Penn State 1): The Bobcats evened the score at one early in the second half as senior Markela Bejleri buried one over the head of Penn State goalie Katherine Asman on a centering feed from Courtney Chochol.
  • (50'—Quinnipiac 1, Penn State 2): Penn State took the lead after finding the back of the net to the left of Lospinoso.
  • (65'—Quinnipiac 1, Penn State 3): The Nittany Lions added to their lead after putting one to the right of Lospinoso.
