EDISON, NJ (Nov. 14, 2022) – The Quinnipiac University Bobcats sit atop of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s basketball standings at the conclusion of opening week following a road win over Central Connecticut St. on Sunday. The Bobcats are the only 3-0 squad in the MAAC and one of two unbeaten teams after one week of action.

Quinnipiac men's basketball battled to its third consecutive road win on Sunday afternoon, downing Central Connecticut State by the final score of 72-70. With the win, Quinnipiac moves to 3-0 to begin the new season for the first time since 1993-94. Matt Balanc led the Bobcats with 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting, while Tymu Chenery added 13 points and six rebounds, and Ike Nweke chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.

Manhattan men’s basketball was edged by Fairleigh Dickinson, 77-74, on Sunday evening in Hackensack, NJ. Five Jaspers scored in double figures led by 17 points from Josh Roberts. Elijah Buchanan (16), Ant Nelson (13), Nick Brennen (12), and Marques Watson (10) also reached double digit scoring for Manhattan.
