EDISON, NJ (Nov. 3, 2022) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced today that it has re-signed a partnership agreement with Showboat, Inc. to make them the official host hotel of the 2022-23 MAAC Esports Championships for the second consecutive year.  
 
The MAAC Esports Championships will be held on March 8-11, 2023 in both the Bourbon Room and Harlem Ballroom and will be host to the 10 Esports teams in the conference after the addition of Mount St. Mary’s. The competing five titles at the championships will be League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Valorant.
 
“The MAAC is excited to bring back the MAAC Esports Championships to the Showboat Hotel again next year,” MAAC Director of Championships Kelsey Nugent said. “Last year’s championship was a huge success, a giant step forward for MAAC Esports, and truly provided the best experience for all of our student-athletes.”
 
Last year’s titles included League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
