Rider’s Firebaugh and Siena’s Seppala Claim Hercules Tires MAAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards

Makayla Firebaugh averaged 21.0 points and 5.0 rebounds while boasting a 55% 3pt field goal percentage over two games in the MAAC/ ASUN Dublin Basketball Challenge, leading Rider to a 1-1 record. Firebaugh put up 25 points in a win over North Florida on Friday, shooting 6-10 from three-point territory also adding in seven rebounds in the effort. In a loss to Eastern Kentucky, Firebaugh led Rider with 17 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Freshman Teresa Seppala helped lead Siena to a 1-1 week averaging 11.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists. In a win over Lafayette, Seppala contributed 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists to help lead the Saints to victory.
