EDISON, NJ (Nov. 25, 2022) – Siena College earned a wire-to-wire upset win over ACC power Florida State in the ESPN Events Invitational to cap off Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s basketball Thanksgiving Action.

Siena Basketball never trailed and led by as many as 20 points in a convincing 80-63 Thanksgiving Day rout of perennial ACC power Florida State in the ESPN Events Invitational. For Siena, it was the program’s first high-major win in eight years and first win over an Atlantic Coast Conference team in 12 years. Andrew Platek led Siena with a career-high 20 points on 7-9 shooting including 5-6 from three, while Javian McCollum followed with 18 points and a career-high eight assists, and Jackson Stormo added 10 points in the win. The Saints move on in the event and will face Ole Miss of the SEC in the next round of the ESPN Events Invitational.

Manhattan and Northeastern went back and forth inside the final minute of regulation before the Huskies came away with the two-point win in overtime, 69-67, in the first game of the 2022 London Basketball Classic. Three Jaspers scored in double-figures, with Josh Roberts and Marques Watson scoring 19 points each, while Ant Nelson added 14 points in the defeat.
