Marist Drubs Columbia to Highlight Lone MAAC Men’s Basketball Game on Monday Night

EDISON, NJ (Nov. 29, 2022) – Marist College stifled Columbia in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s basketball standalone contest of Monday night. The win was the second straight for the Red Foxes following Saturday’s overtime win at Bucknell.

The Marist men's basketball team earned a 52-39 home victory over Columbia in a non-conference game on Monday at McCann Arena. The win was the second straight for the Red Foxes as the team improved to 3-4 on the season. The 39 points allowed, tied the lowest allowed to an opponent in head coach John Dunne's tenure at Marist, matching the 39 points total at Manhattan on Dec. 19, 2020. Marist held Columbia to .250 (13-for-52) shooting from the field and .238 (5-for-21) shooting from three-point range. The Red Foxes were led by a trio of double digit scorers in Javon Cooley (13), Kam Farris (11) and Patrick Gardner (10).
