Fairfield’s Ford and Siena’s Selimovic Named Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Edison, NJ (Nov. 30, 2022) – Fairfield’s Chris Ford and Siena’s Emina Selimovic have been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athletes of the Week.

Men’s Swimming and Diving
 
Chris Ford is an international business major who swims multiple events for the Fairfield University swimming and diving team. He will be competing at the US Open this weekend in the 200 breaststroke, an event in which he has excelled this season. In his last dual meet, Ford picked up wins in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes and was a member of the relay teams. He has earned berths to the MAAC All-Academic Swimming and Diving Team as well as the MAAC Academic Honor Roll.
 
 
Emina Selimovic
Siena
Women’s Basketball
 
A two-year member of Siena Women's Basketball, Selimovic has played in all seven contests thus far on the season as the first woman off the bench, averaging 4.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per-contest. She went for a career-best ten points and eight boards to help the Saints to a 78-71 victory over Oakland on November 26. The Erie, Pennsylvania native holds an impressive 3.97 cumulative GPA as an economics major and is a member of Siena's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
