EDISON, NJ (Nov. 9, 2022) – Rider University was the lone Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s basketball teams in action on the season’s second day. The Broncs put up a good fight against Big East foe Providence, but ultimately dropped the road contest by one point.

Dwight Murray, Jr. scored a game-high 18 points and Allen Powell added 15 points, but the Rider University men’s basketball team was edged at Providence, 66-65, in the season opener Tuesday night at Amica Mutual Pavilion.
