The Rider University men's basketball team defeated longtime rival Monmouth, 88-62, Wednesday night at Alumni Gym, snapping a three-game losing skid. The Broncs shot a season-high 57.7 percent (30-52) from the floor, including 44.4 percent (8-18) from long range, the team’s best shooting output since a 2019 meeting at Niagara. Mervin James and Dwight Murray, Jr. led Rider with 17 points apiece, while Allen Powell added 11 points in the win.
