Siena College improved to 2-0 with a road win at Quinnipiac, moving into a three-way tie for first-place, while both Fairfield University and Saint Peter’s University earned home wins.

Fairfield earned a 73-54 win over visiting Marist in MAAC men’s basketball action on Friday night at Leo D. Mahoney Arena. The Stags improved to 2-1 in the MAAC and have won four out of five straight games, while Marist drops to 0-3 in league play. Fairfield used a 16-0 run, keeping Marist scoreless for a span of almost nine minutes from the end of the first half through the early portion of the second half. TJ Long set a career-high with 25 points and Supreme Cook added 15 points and seven rebounds for the Stags in the victory. Marist was led by Isaiah Brickner's 15 points and Patrick Gardner contributed 13 points.

Siena defeated Quinnipiac 83-76 in MAAC men’s basketball play on Friday at M&T Bank Arena in Hamden, CT. The Saints move into a first-place MAAC tie with their 2-0 league mark and are riding a three-game winning streak, while the Bobcats fall to 0-3 in league play. The game featured 12 ties and 11 lead changes, but Siena used a 52-point second half to earn the road win. Both teams had four players score in double-figures with Siena’s Javian McCollum scoring a game-high 25 points. The Saints also had Andrew Platek (19), Jackson Stormo (14) and Michael Eley (12) record double-digit scoring. The Bobcats were led by Ike Nweke’s 21 points, while Dezi Jones chipped in with 15 points and Luis Kortright and Tyrese Williams each added 11 points.
