Junior Daniss Jenkins starred in his MAAC debut, averaging 20.5 points, 7.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds 2.5 blocks and 2.0 steals in two conference wins at home over Canisius and Niagara. Jenkins shot 61.5% from the field overall, connecting on 16-of-26 shot attempts. He was a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc and 5-for-6 from the line. Perhaps most impressive stat, he had 14 assists to just one turnover in 63 minutes of play. Jenkins’ 14:1 assist-to-turnover ratio led all MAAC players this week, with No. 2 on the list coming in at 4:1.
 
Rookie of the Week
Tahj Staveskie, Canisius

Canisius redshirt-freshman Tahj Staveskie averaged 10.5 points, 4.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game last week as the Golden Griffins opened MAAC play on the road at Siena and Iona. In the team's road loss to Iona Dec. 4, Staveskie led all Canisius players with 13 points, highlighted by his three makes from 3-point land. In the Blue and Gold's 74-70 road loss at Siena Dec. 2, the Sandusky, Ohio native had eight points and five assists, which was his third-straight game with five-or more assists to his credit.
