Edison, NJ (Dec. 6, 2022) – Three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Volleyball players were honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association today.
Fairfield’s KJ Johnson, the 2022 MAAC Player of the Year, was named to the ACVA All-East Coast Region team. Iona’s Hope Matschner and Marist’s Sasha van der Merwe were both ACVA honorable mention selections. All East Coast Region honoree, KJ Johnson is the first two-time All-Region honoree in Fairfield University history as well as in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) history.
